First Chinook Ever!

My super happy guest with his first chinook he’s ever caught and boy did he ever set the bar high with a beautiful slab of a fish. Officially weighed in at Island Outfitters at a whopping 40.2 pounds. Unfortunately this fish took the hooks deep and was bleeding very badly so releasing it wasn’t an option although it would have been our first choice to do so. Big fish month has officially started here on the shores of Port Renfrew. Oki gold Betsy flasher and a Rhys Davis chrome mint pearl anchovy teaser head worked on this one.
